From concept to activation, my academic journey led me to build a museum with a focus of sex education through art, integrated artist engagements and strategic community partnerships. As my dissertation was phenomenological, this project is dedicated to the documentation of that journey, inclusive of curatorial and facility design, programming and outreach, and the development of professional relationships with the best educational and creative minds across industries and continents. It is my hope that the documentation shared from 2002 to 2010 will encourage others to build stronger communities through the creation, collaboration and exploration of art.
Promoting an understanding and appreciation of erotic ephemera, film, fine art and literature that provides access, exploration and expression free of judgement; fostering educational resources related to emotional, mental, physical and sexual health; and, the continued cultivation of equality, diversity and inclusivity for all is the continued mission of this project.
