Appraisal of Special Collections

Appraisal of Special Collections

I became an expert in the appraisal of special collections of erotic art, ephemera, film and literature due to my academic studies. I worked with private collectors who desired to donate their portfolios and libraries to learning institutions for charitable donation. In 2007, I had the pleasure of meeting Adam Tanner of Reuters. I shared aspects about my work and dissertation project. To my surprise, he wrote an article about me.

To this day, I continue to enjoy working with private collectors who desire to preserve their collections for academic research and study. It is my belief that we must always study our past for a brighter future.

ART • ACTIVISM • IMPACT

To Build A Museum began as my phenomenological dissertation, Building a Museum: Sex Education Through Art, exploring the intersection of art, sexuality, and education. This academic work became the foundation for the creation of the Erotic Heritage Museum, a space dedicated to fostering understanding through art and education.

What started as an academic inquiry evolved into a platform for activism, artistic expression, and community engagement, documented here through the profound experiences, challenges, and insights I encountered, along with contributions from esteemed artists, colleagues, and patrons. To Build A Museum reflects my commitment to inclusivity, expanding awareness, and celebrating the transformative power of art, while capturing the key moments that shaped this project.
